We are happy about especially good news: In June, Blackstone already won the 4th Sustainability Award in 2022! At this year’s DENEFF (Deutsche Unternehmensinitiative Energieeffizienz e. V.), we were able to be awarded with the audience award of the renowned Perpetuum Award.

This year’s conference was looking for particularly innovative and efficient decarbonisation solutions. A perfect fit for Blackstones green and sustainable 3D screen printing process for new types of batteries. After we prevailed against numerous competitors with our application, the grand finale followed last Wednesday in Berlin.

Pictured: Dr. David Flaschenträger, the CTDO of Blackstone Technology (100% subsidiary of Blackstone Resources AG). He delivered a passionate elevator pitch in the final and was able to convince the audience with his presentation. Blackstone was able to prevail over nine competitors in the subsequent audience vote.

Flaschenträger after the award: “It’s great that we were able to convince the audience of our solution. With us, the focus of energy saving is not on the product, but on the process: we produce environmentally friendly lithium-ion batteries in a novel 3D screen-printing process and thus reduce energy consumption in production by up to 78 percent compared to conventional methods. We avoid around 50 per cent of waste materials and the investment costs are reduced by up to 70 per cent. So we have created a process that saves material in production and energy in application.”
