There is no end to the awards for Blackstone. After our battery technologies have already won five climate and sustainability awards in 2022, the next award is coming up. We have been shortlisted for the German Sustainability Award (DNP) Design 2023. The renowned award is a national distinction for top achievements in sustainability in business, communities and research. As such, it naturally reflects a key focus of our efforts at Blackstone.

With more than 1,000 applications, the German Sustainability Award is one of the largest and most important awards of its kind in Europe. It is awarded by the Stiftung Deutscher Nachhaltigkeitspreis e.V. (German Sustainability Award Foundation) in cooperation with the German government and various business associations and research institutions. The DNP awards design, technical and social solutions that support sustainable products, production systems or consumer behaviour.

New demands on sustainability and quality of life are also changing the way we move and posing new challenges for energy technologies. This also creates new demands on business, politics and research to develop answers to pressing questions. How can we reconcile sustainable environmental protection with a productive economy? In what way can we use limited resources efficiently and with foresight? How can we make renewable energies continuously and abundantly available? Blackstone has found answers to these questions. With our advanced, environmentally friendly and particularly powerful battery technologies.

This is another reason why we are confident about our application to the DNP. At the end of September, the jury will first select the finalists for the coveted award. The winners will then be announced at the award ceremony on 1 December 2022 in Düsseldorf. Now it’s time to keep our fingers crossed!
